OCC Research Process
Jake Morris
- Decide on a topic
- Look at both sides of the argument on the internet from all kinds of websites
- Choose the side that has the most information to back it up and you agree with the most
- Research that specific side
- Look at databases, websites, and all other sources and keep track of all of them and good statistics and facts you might use
- Stay organized throughout this entire process
- Create an outline
- Write down introduction, big reason 1, small reason 1 and 2, and repeat for 3 big reasons, and follow with a conclusion
- Keep this very organized also
- Create a rough draft essay
- Edit the rough draft essay
- Do this multiple times with different people to get many perspectives
- Finalize the argumentative essay and turn in
(Great site to use when looking at both sides of an argument)
(Great idea to use a plagiarism checker before turning into teacher to avoid cheating)
